    CORY, William.
    $200.00
London & Orpington: George Allen, 1891. First edition. viii + 210 pp. Slight lean to spine, else very good plus in full light blue cloth. First combined edition of one of the earliest, most influential, and most reprinted volumes of English Uranian poetry. Revised edition of IONICA (1858) and IONICA II (1877), omitting eight poems and adding twenty new ones; second issue, with the error on p. 149 corrected. The present copy, with "IONICA / W. CORY M.A. / GEORGE ALLEN" stamped on spine, is a variant not noted by Timothy d'Arch Smith, who states that the 1891 edition, like the 1858 and 1877 editions, was published anonymously (LOVE IN EARNEST, p. 247). INSCRIBED by the brother of Cory on the first leaf. Young 813*.
