INSCRIBED by Houston, “For John Edmunds / With best wishes / Peyton Houston / September 1958.” Laid into this copy is a typescript of Houston’s poem “Carol” “for John Edmunds / Sept. 1958.” Also, a typed poem dated 8-19-57, “A Conceit for Stravinsky” with the holograph addition, “You say, ‘The Harrison Mass made…’ and / then stop // Thank you for the $5. It / is helping to pay for the radio. / Love / Peter.”
